A Young Puffin Storybook The Strawberry Jam Pony (P)

It's Tommy Wilson's greatest dream to be able to work alongside his brother with the pit ponies. But he's got another five years to wait until he's old enough to go down the mine. Then the miners come out on strike and Tommy's dream comes true. The ponies have to be brought up to the surface and Tommy's help is needed. His favourite is Gleam, the pony who loves to eat strawberry jam sandwiches. But meeting Gleam only marks the beginning of his adventures.
