Oh dear—Cacofonix the bard has been captured by the Romans and offered to Julius Caesar as a gift! But Caesar isn’t exactly a fan of the bard’s... unique musical talents and decides to toss him into the arena to face the lions.

Back in the village, it takes a suspicious amount of peace and quiet for the Gauls to realize something’s amiss. By then, Cacofonix is already en route to Rome! Asterix and Obelix waste no time and set off to save their friend—but to reach him, they’ll have to sign up as gladiators and enter the Colosseum themselves.

Will our brave Gauls survive the Roman games? Or will Cacofonix’s singing finish the lions off before the fight even begins? Let the hilarity—and the battle—begin!
