Eleven Minutes (P)

Maria, a young girl from a small village in Brazil, is the protagonist in Eleven Minutes. Betrayed by love, she moves to Geneva with the hopes of achieving her dream life - one full of fame and fortune. However, reality hits her hard, proving that her dreams were just that -- dreams. When a chance encounter with an Arab man leads her to earn a large sum of money, she becomes a prostitute in Geneva's infamous red-light district. As she becomes successful in her new profession, she pushes away all thoughts of love and focuses solely on her body's desires. This all changes when she meets Ralf, a Swiss painter who is the complete opposite of her. Despite her conflicting feelings, Maria falls for Ralf, but their relationship seems to have no chance of survival. In a moment of despair, she finally discovers the perfect balance between physical pleasure and true love. Maria's journey is one of disillusionment, sexual awakening, and self-destruction, before rising from the ashes.
