These favourite children's fairy tales and stories in the I Can Read series are specially written for early and beginner readers. They are designed to help young children in their first steps to independent reading. All the titles in I Can Read Level 1 consist of simple texts using approximately 200 easy and commonly used words. More difficult words are repeated to facilitate recognition and wherever possible the colourful illustrations reinforce their meaning.
