The Spotlight on Poetry series has been devised and written to meet the specific requirements of the National Literacy Strategy for pupils at KS1 & KS2. There are 3 exceptional collections of verse - Poems Around the World, Classic Poems, What Kind of a Poem? These readers feature additional poems for guided and independent work. The Poems Around the World 3 selection includes the work of poets from all over the world including such places as the Caribbean, China, Japan and India. Each level is accompanied by Teacher's Notes which match the poems to the National Literacy Framework , offer a range of ideas for teaching the Hour and include photocopiable activity masters.
