The Complete Ramayana - Luv–Kush's Ramayana : Book 7

The Complete Ramayana: Luv-Kush's Ramayana

The Complete Ramayana: Luv-Kush's Ramayana by Paro Anand is the seventh and final volume in her retelling of Valmiki's Ramayana for young readers. This concluding volume takes the story beyond the great war and explores the later life of Rama, Sita and their sons.

Rama has returned home and his kingdom enters an era of peace and prosperity. But a whispered rumour leads to a painful decision, sending Sita into exile once again. In a quiet forest ashram, she raises her twin sons, Luv and Kush, whose own story becomes part of the epic's final chapter.

About This Book

The war is over and Rama has returned to Ayodhya. Under Rama Rajya, the kingdom is described as a place without hunger or injustice, filled with celebration. Yet the responsibilities of kingship bring a devastating personal choice.

When rumours about Sita begin to spread, Rama sends her into the forest. At an ashram, Sita raises Luv and Kush away from the royal court. As the boys grow up, they encounter the story of their own family and become connected to the legacy of Rama and the Ramayana.
