The death of Queen Laurelia is a devastating loss for the twelve daughters of King Alberto, far beyond just losing their mother. In an effort to protect them, the king decides to keep his daughters safe at any cost. For the girls, this means sacrificing their lessons, possessions, and most crucially, their freedom.
However, the sisters, especially the eldest, Princess Frida, refuse to accept this fate. Frida still holds onto one thing her father cannot take away: the power of her imagination. With only their wits and ingenuity to guide them, Frida and her sisters embark on a journey to reclaim their right to live life on their own terms.
The Restless Girls is a vibrant and enchanting fairy tale that doesn't rely on a prince to save the day. Instead, it celebrates the bravery, resourcefulness, and cleverness of young women.
