The Time Traveler's Wife #2 : Life Out of Order

Life Out of Order by Audrey Niffenegger

From Audrey Niffenegger, the bestselling author of The Time Traveler’s Wife, comes Life Out of Order, an emotionally rich novel of time travel, love and the struggle to find stability in an unpredictable world. Following Alba DeTamble, the daughter of Henry DeTamble, this highly anticipated story explores whether it is possible to build a meaningful life when time itself refuses to cooperate.

Born with the same rare condition as her father, Alba slips involuntarily through different decades while trying to hold on to the people and passions that ground her. As a gifted violinist surrounded by artists and activists, she seeks connection and belonging while confronting dangerous secrets, unexpected relationships and a future she cannot change.

About This Book

Along the way, she encounters Oliver, a fellow time traveller, while the increasingly unsettling presence of her stepsister Isadora raises questions about family, identity and fate.

As Alba navigates two great loves and a life fragmented across time, she must face difficult choices about loyalty, loss and the people she cannot bear to leave behind. Life Out of Order can be read independently or enjoyed as a companion to The Time Traveler’s Wife.
