Veronika Decides to Die On the Seventh Day #2

Veronika seemed to be in the perfect situation. Veronika is young, attractive, goes dancing, has a stable career, and a loving family, but something is missing from her life; she is not content. She makes the decision to end her life early on November 11, 1997. She overdoses on sleeping pills and subsequently wakes up in Villette, the neighbourhood hospital. There, she is informed that although she is still alive, her heart has been injured, and she only has a short time left to live. This story follows Veronika through these intense days as her experiences lead her to question the whole idea of what madness is, before she comes to realise that every second of existence is a choice that we all make between living and dying.
