A heartwarming tale of a spirited young Polish girl initially set on resisting happiness in her newfound life in England but eventually discovering a sense of belonging.

Kasia finds herself yearning for her homeland, Poland, her old friends, and, above all, her grandparents, after her mother relocates them to the UK. As the lengthy school holidays loom ahead, Kasia contemplates how she will spend her time, with her mother committed to work. Then, unexpectedly, Babcia and Dzadek make a surprise visit, sparking Kasia's joy. As she proudly introduces her grandparents to her new town, Kasia begins to realize that perhaps she's more content here than she had initially believed.
